Three Great Therapies
People often have a limited view of physical therapy, and we don’t blame you.
For most, physical therapy is where you go when recovering from surgery, or for
help after a sports injury or accident. It’s a place for painful exercise
that is supposed to be “good for you,” and too often you feel like a nameless
prescription, hurried through a system which offers little dignity or real care.
At One on 1 PT, we offer caring therapies, using the latest
research and technologies, to improve your health and mobility.
Three of our most promising therapies are:
- Anodyne® circulation therapy
- Astym™ relieving pain and healing soft tissue
- Pulstar™ Multiple Impulse Therapy is
FDA approved technology for back pain and more.
But let’s talk about a Fourth Great Therapy too: the
The ATM® 2.
Great for Shoulder pain, Lumbar, and Hip pain.

circulation, relieve pain, and increase mobility.

Anodyne® Therapy
Anodyne Therapy is targeted to improve circulation. This therapy uses
Monochromatic Infrared Photo Energy (MIRE) – a non-invasive, drug-free way to
increase local circulation to nerves and tissues and reduce neuropathic pain.
-
If pain in your extremities keeps you from completing your daily tasks.
- If you are unable to walk as far or as fast as you would like.
- If you have problems sleeping because of pain associated with poor
circulation.
Then Anodyne Therapy can help. (There is even a home system for ongoing
treatment.) As a patient, you simply relax and enjoy the soothing warmth
of the Anodyne pads as they are applied to the treatment area. Sessions
last from 30 to 45 minutes, and a typical treatment protocol lasts 4 weeks, with
sessions three times per week. An effective treatment for peripheral
neuropathy.

Astym™ Therapy
ASTYM treatment activates the natural healing response of the body by gently
disrupting abnormal soft tissue. In response, the body sends new collagen to the
area being treated, replacing the dysfunctional tissue with healthy tissue.
It is especially effective with chronic tendonitis and tendinosis.
ASTYM has been helpful in keeping workers on the job and athletes enjoying the
sports they love. With ASTYM, the use of braces and splints is minimized,
and activity encouraged. (Patients are responsible for maintaining a home
stretching program.)
- Works even on older, persistent, nagging injuries, like the troubling
foot pain of plantar fasciitis.
- Great for scar tissue healing.
- Effective for repetitive motion injuries, including carpal tunnel
syndrome.
- From shoulder pain to shin splints, treatment stimulates regeneration
and healing.
An ergonomically designed treatment instrument is drawn across the skin in
the treatment area. The ASTYM treatment helps identify and stimulate the
breakdown of dysfunctional tissue and allow functional restoration to occur.
Exercise and activity, including a home stretching program, build on the healing
effect of this therapy.
Continuation of work, athletic, and recreational activities throughout the
treatment process promotes optimal healing.

Pulstar™ Multiple Impulse Therapy
Almost everyone experiences back and neck pain at some time during their
lives. A pinched nerve, muscle spasms, and radiating pain are common as
well. The Pulstar Force Recording and Analysis System by Sense Technology,
Inc. is an analysis and treatment tool for conditions related to musculoskeletal
pain, restricted joint mobility, myofascial spasm, and ligamentous strain.
In plain language, the Pulstar system uses newly developed hardware and
computerized software to provide us with an objective look at your spine.
There are no X-rays or dangerous radiations, only a low-energy impulse applied
at each vertebrae, allowing us to evaluate the whole spine for each patient.
It is common in our practice for patients to self-evaluate a noticeable
pain reduction after just one Pulstar treatment.
With Pulstar and the many other therapies available to us, One on 1 Physical
Therapy is able to customize programs to reduce or eliminate pain and increased
mobility, strength, flexibility, and function. We offer comprehensive
treatments for:
- Pinched nerve
- Muscle spasm
- Whiplash injury
- Postural pain
- Stiffness and lost mobility
- Radiating and referred pain
